The Glitch Mob - The Importance Of Community In Music
Podcast Overview: Will, Ed & Josh discuss the changing music industry and underground scenes, building a community when departing from previous scenes and the dynamics of group relationships.
Who are The Glitch Mob: The Glitch Mob, comprised of Ed Ma (edIT) and Josh Mayer (Ooah) continue forward in 2023. Based in Los Angeles, they came together around 2006, through a mutual love of underground rave culture.
Their first three albums - Drink the Sea, Love Death Immortality, and See Without Eyes - took them on a decade long adventure of headline shows and massive festival stages across the globe, leading the charge with high-end production.
Always determined to evolve, innovate, and experiment, The Glitch Mob have returned to the underground with their album Ctrl Alt Reality, which is a love letter to rave culture. From the music to their live shows, this new era centers around community, authenticity, immersion, and most of all - connection to the culture that brought them together.

Fuck yeeaahhh brooo I’m gonna rave with ya!
Saw Danny in Phoenix last night. Awesome! That guy can mix….good god.
Will Clarke podcast only gets cued when WSL surf 🏄🏽♂️ is going down;). Let’s gooooo 🤙🏽😎🖤🕺🏄🏽♂️
Big one Clarkie, the burner roots run deep, man I lost my face to these cats choons more than a few times 😂🖤🕺
Real talk, I almost cried bro 😢
And then “Male Wife” I’m dying 😂
Funny thing when people talk about 9 to 5, you know that’s the dream job for many people. For real, I never believed it, and it wasn’t ever for me, but I know people that would never want to live like I do, or you guys do, entrepreneurs, etc…
“Only sweat what you can control” quote of the season… 🧮
Super insightful one. I loved her vulnerability and sharing struggles with procrastination, creative ruts, stuff I can relate a lot to 😹
These podcasts are great!
The best
DUDE thank you for these podcasts... You bring on artists who are huge influences in my life.
Think it would be phenomenal to have Paul back on in the future! Great job Will!
The knowledge in this podcast is amazing Thank you for having Glitch Mob having a chat with you 🙏🏻
Flight fm mashup 🔥

No audio for me brother (even checked volume lol) but maybe that was the vibe 😂
Will, thank you for making those videos. Very inspiring and helpful. Appreciated, bro
Such a legend and so down to earth. love hearing their point of view. Will, thank you for this, keep it going. Fan forever
Just one thing, labels have not changed and neither has the need for them. Just back in 92 you had 3 tv channels and 2 radio stations per state or even per country so if Nirvana was the thing of the moment it was plastered everywhere=monoculture. They competed to own that. Now with the vast number of sources to access music they have moved from controlling 1 thing that rules a monoculture to discovering, building and promoting the career of an artist that is gonna create a cloud of imitators = gatekeeping. They discover the next James Hype, the can control that sound and make money by selling the IRL access to it i.e. gigs. Has anyone noticed a rise in the number of label owned festivals or club nights lately?!
The most underrated and easily the best channel/podcast on crucial music matters, period.
Both of them extremely intelligent, experienced, down to earth and open about everything. Proper gem of an interview 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Inspirational
By far my fav producers
Found this guy through his podcast, killer mix too
Great interview!!
Can't wait to listen to this podcast. NYC was my home 1998-2008, and what a time for the NYC clubs and my favorite legendary DJ, DT!
There’s such a huge gap in podcasts for music producers and Djs absolutely love this channel. Have been binge watching all day yesterday and today. 👏
This was one of the best itw. Good job and thanks for sharing!
Good shit 👍🏽
Can't wait to see these dudes on a boat
Damn right my friend!!!
As a female producer and aspiring DJ I’ve never been so happy to discover such a genuine interview with another female dj doing what I aspire to do. She is so genuine and my path is very similar to hers. This was very inspiring. Hope to work with her sometime in the future! Being really such a small world at the end of the day - It’s nice to discover genuine artists in this industry and fellow females to connect with.
“It’s a competition with yourself” - Will Clarke
Super!!!!!! 💪💪💪
"We were all trying to do it with each other" -Will Clarke, 2024 👀😂
16:00 out here waiting on that follow up to who's afraid of Detroit
I apologize, I know this comment won’t be liked but this is my opinion…no disrespect. You have the biggest DJ House Legend, you can ask him anything, and the interviewer is so stale, boring, pauses a lot and asks the same questions he’s answered a thousand times before. You’re asking Tenaglia very vague, open questions about his history, upbringing etc. NO! Get him energized with specific, modernized content…”how did you compare your GU Athens compilation to your latest Brooklyn? “Tell me about your new 10 STAX speaker ensemble”, “What was it like meeting Michael Jackson, mixing for Madonna, getting a Grammy”, etc. This interview was so boring, monotone, boring…Danny was already tired, he needed someone to boost the energy of the interview.
Terrible
Awesome episode !
Here, we go >>> 🤙🏽😎🖤🕺
What number did you start the podcast Will ? 😂
Had to finish this one on the plane…good fun lads…🤙🏽😎🖤🕺
Dropping some sauce in this one :D
Fuck yeah these guys are killin' it
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sick guests!
'will' did you ever go to the original grunmills not mos
So stoked for this episode! You all have done so much for music & are also such genuine awesome people! Campout was such a fun time over the years with you guys and those times I cherish. Also thank you Sam & Gavin for taking the time to sign my vinyl of ‘Bodies Do The Talking’ after the show here in Boise this last February while on your tour. It meant a lot to me and the show was amazing! Thank you Sam, Gavin & Will for the episode and knowledge, the music industry is blessed to have your talent! Long live RDA & AWHIN! 💿🙌💯
How about Stevie Thunder!
Bruh scream just vibing 🤣
Awesome conversation! I think I comment the same thing on all of these because they are great. First time I really became aware of Tenaglia was skipping out on seeing him in Toronto and then waking up the next day and learning he was still playing and played another 8 some hours. Regrets.
Me please :)
